Through this pilot partnership, Sage is enabling Consensus to index and access the full-text of its paywalled journals. This allows us to deliver more precise search results and higher-fidelity AI previews built directly from Sage’s authoritative peer-reviewed articles. 

Sage is demonstrating real vision through this collaboration: recognizing that AI is reshaping how discovery begins and taking proactive steps to ensure that high-quality scholarship remains central in this new landscape. This partnership is an early example of what the future of research can look like when innovators and publishers move together.

Our Shifting Landscape

The way researchers discover information is shifting. In 2025, AI isn’t a novelty. It's becoming the starting point for how scholars search, synthesize, and share knowledge. But most general-purpose AI tools still optimize for convenience over rigor, and are doing so in a way that undermines the entire research ecosystem.
